Duties

Greet clients warmly and assist with check-in and check-out procedures for appointments and surgeries Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and respond to client inquiries promptly and professionally Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle financial transactions accurately Maintain detailed patient records, update medical histories, and ensure confidentiality Manage laboratory sample intake, prepare specimens, and assist with basic lab procedures when needed Support kennel operations by coordinating pet boarding, feeding schedules, and animal care instructions Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations or treatments using proper animal handling techniques Ensure the reception area remains organized, clean, and welcoming at all times

Skills

Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques Experience with pet care tasks such as grooming, dog training, or pet grooming is a plus Ability to handle animals safely using proper animal husbandry practices and aseptic techniques Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures and laboratory processes including sample collection and processing Proficiency in medical collection procedures such as blood draws or catheterization of animals when necessary Excellent communication skills for interacting with pet owners, veterinary staff, and suppliers Experience in kennel management or animal handling in diverse environments such as equine or small animal clinics is desirable Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
