Dogwood Veterinary Clinic is in search of a full time receptionist. Receptionists will be an important link between the community and our practice. We want clients to be greeted by a smiling face, someone who makes them feel comfortable and at-home with us. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, remains calm when faced with multiple tasks, has a strong work ethic, communication skills and is willing to build relationships with clients and team members.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Welcome clients upon arrival to the hospital
Gather client's information and enter it into the computer
Put clients in an exam room at their appointment time
Answer phone calls and answer frequently asked veterinary questions
Schedule appointments
Receive payments
Relay medical questions and medication requests to veterinary technicians
Manage reminders to clients regarding appointments, vaccinations and testing coming due
Work with our hospital app to manage reward system, appt requests, record requests and medication requests.
Check receptionist email account
Check for communication through veterinary app
Check for messages through facebook account
manage online medication and food requests
Help clean clinic
Qualifications and Skills:
Strong communication and leadership skills
Positive attitude, friendliness, patience
Works well with other team members
Exceptional customer service skills and professional phone manner
Organizational skills
Computer skills and ability to type quickly
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $20.00 per hour
