Duties



Greet clients warmly and efficiently manage check-in and check-out procedures for appointments Schedule, confirm, and modify veterinary appointments using practice management software Collect payments, process medical billing, and handle insurance claims with accuracy and professionalism Maintain detailed client records, update pet information, and ensure confidentiality at all times Assist clients with questions regarding pet care, vaccination schedules, and treatment plans Coordinate communication between clients and veterinary staff regarding test results or follow-up care Manage incoming calls, emails, and inquiries promptly while providing clear information about services offered Support the veterinary team by handling administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and supply inventory management Facilitate smooth clinic operations by assisting with kennel duties when necessary or supporting animal handling tasks under supervision

Experience



Previous experience in veterinary reception or customer service roles is highly preferred Familiarity with veterinary terminology, medical billing practices, and laboratory procedures enhances your effectiveness in this role Knowledge of animal handling techniques including dog training, animal restraint, and basic animal husbandry is advantageous Experience with laboratory processes such as sample collection or aseptic techniques is a plus Hands-on experience with medical collections, pet care routines, and veterinary critical care support is desirable Ability to handle animals safely during kennel or restraint activities; knowledge of animal anatomy and catheterization procedures is beneficial Strong communication skills combined with a compassionate approach to pet owners foster trust and loyalty
