Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary team. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, and supporting veterinary staff with administrative and clinical tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care, excellent communication skills, and familiarity with veterinary terminology and procedures. Experience in animal handling, kennel management, and pet care is highly valued to ensure seamless clinic operations and outstanding client experiences.

Duties

Greet clients and their pets warmly, establishing a welcoming environment. Schedule appointments, answer phone calls, and manage client communications efficiently. Collect medical information, update patient records, and assist with medical collections as needed. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area to promote a professional environment.

Requirements

Prior experience in veterinary clinics or animal care settings is preferred; knowledge of veterinary terminology is a plus. Compassionate attitude towards animals and their owners, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Familiarity with animal handling techniques, including dog handling, animal restraint. Knowledge of animal anatomy and pet care best practices enhances service quality. Ability to perform medical collections accurately and efficiently. Kennel experience or background in animal husbandry is desirable for supporting clinical operations. Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 - 40.0 per week
