GENERAL DESCRIPTION:


We are a full-service, AAHA-accredited Veterinary Hospital. We're looking to add a Veterinary Receptionist/Customer Service representative to our staff. We currently have two full-time veterinarians. We work hard, have wonderful clients, and offer a positive work environment.

The receptionist is responsible for providing excellent service by welcoming clients to the Veterinary Medical Center and managing patient registration and flow in the reception area. This person will be responsible for maintaining all front-desk duties. These tasks vary by day but can include answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, greeting clients, maintaining required hospital paperwork, and reviewing invoices or discharge instructions. Additionally, the receptionist handles incoming calls, patient records, and the dispensing of medications and merchandise.

To be successful in this role, clear communication and strong organizational skills are essential. Applicants must demonstrate professionalism, dependability, healthy and positive communication skills, and the ability to multitask. FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Receive and immediately register patients and notify the doctors of their arrival. Schedule and confirm patient appointments. Receive boarding patients and verify that they meet all induction requirements. Provide clients with alternatives and information regarding all clinic services and products. Answer incoming calls and assist clients. Maintain patient documents and records updated and organized. Review and bill clients for services rendered and/or products sold. Balance the cash register at the end of each shift. Make follow-up calls to clients regarding their pets. Place, receive, and organize merchandise orders. Review doctors' schedules and send reminders. Dispense medications. Provide empathetic, friendly, and excellent service to clients and patients. Promote and offer the patient medical plan. Collaborate with coworkers.

EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS



High School Diploma Two to three years of customer service experience Knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and strong technological skills
