We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. This role is essential in providing excellent client service, managing appointment scheduling, and supporting clinical staff with administrative tasks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and veterinary terminology, along with excellent communication skills. Experience with animal handling, kennel operations, and pet care will be highly valued to ensure smooth daily operations and exceptional client experiences.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming environment
Manage appointment scheduling and client records efficiently
Handle medical collections and process payments accurately
Assist with laboratory procedures, including sample collection and processing
Maintain detailed knowledge of veterinary critical care procedures and animal restraint techniques
Support veterinary staff with tasks
Communicate effectively with clients regarding pet health and treatment plans
Maintain cleanliness and organization of reception area and clinical spaces
Experience
Previous experience in veterinary clinics or animal hospitals is preferred
Knowledge of veterinary terminology is advantageous
Experience with dog handling, animal restraint, and pet care is highly desirable
Kennel experience or animal husbandry background will be considered a plus
Prior exposure to veterinary critical care or aseptic techniques is a strong asset
