JOB TITLE: Tribal Liaison \xe2\x80\x93 San Juan & McKinley County FLSA STATUS: Full-Time, Non-Exempt Hourly REPORTS TO: Children\xe2\x80\x99s Advocacy Center Program Director WORK SCHEDULE: Full-Time 30 hours per week, includes benefits GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Tribal Liaison is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective tribal Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) partners regarding the joint investigations of child abuse conducted at the Children\xe2\x80\x99s Advocacy Centers. The Tribal Liaison will also identify and address barriers to tribal MDT member participation and assure that victims on tribal lands receive a full range of high-quality services. PRIMARY DUTIES: a. Relationship-building with and recruitment of new tribal Multi-Disciplinary Team members, including law enforcement officers, child protective services workers, behavioral health providers, medical providers, prosecutor\xe2\x80\x99s office, etc. b. Networking with tribal MDT members and community providers via attendance at community/agency events and trainings c. Coordination of introductory training and MDT orientation to new tribal MDT members regarding the National Children\xe2\x80\x99s Alliance (NCA) accreditation standards and proper MDT functioning d. Travel between Childhaven Farmington and Gallup offices and various tribal entity offices to meet with existing and prospective tribal MDT members. e. Assist in the development of tribal MDT protocols. f. Monitor quality and timelines of service delivery for victims on tribal lands g. Assure adherence to NCA standards/MDT protocols in these investigations. h. Attend and participate in monthly MDT Meetings and Case Reviews JOB KNOWLEDGE: \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated understanding of joint investigations of child abuse, writing protocols, and leading/facilitating groups. \xc2\xb7 Working knowledge of child development and psychodynamics of child abuse, sexual abuse, domestic violence and family dynamics. \xc2\xb7 Ability to work with a complex network of MDT partner agency personnel, having familiarity with social services, law enforcement and the court systems. \xc2\xb7 Knowledge of local community resources and social service delivery systems in northwest New Mexico \xc2\xb7 Cultural awareness and sensitivity: Skilled in working with a population diverse in ethnicity, race, religion, socioeconomic background, physical and/or mental ability, sexual preference, and gender identity/expression. QUALIFICATIONS: \xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a human services field or similar, preferred, or AA degree \xc2\xb7 Experience in team facilitation or group dynamics \xc2\xb7 At least 25 years of age or older to be eligible to drive Childhaven vehicles and a Current, Valid NM Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License and clean driving record \xc2\xb7 Must pass local, state, and federal background checks (including fingerprints) \xc2\xb7 Must obtain and maintain CPR and CPI certification \xc2\xb7 Bilingual (Navajo/English) preferred \xc2\xb7 Must have strong computer and organizational skills, be team oriented, flexible and self-motivated \xc2\xb7 Excellent verbal and written communication skills \xc2\xb7 Ability to develop positive relationships with community partners, families, co-workers and team members \xc2\xb7 Minimum of 24 hours of ongoing training per year, including NCA training requirements Job Type: Part-time Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour Benefits:
