This internship opportunity will be working with the Corporate Treasury Unclaimed Property Department where you will be responsible for working cross-functionally to research and resolve issues while paying strong attention to detail. Essential functions require the ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks in a timely manner to meet deadlines. "Real work\xe2\x80\x9d: you will be part of real corporate projects and various assignments in the following areas

Assisting with unclaimed property reporting and maintenance of files

Assisting with due diligence processes related to unclaimed property filings, including telephone responses and customer service

Assisting with processing check reissues

Assisting with daily bank administration tasks, including research and cleared check copies

Assisting in gathering required information and answering Information Document Requests for various audits

Assisting with special projects as needed

Community: Build relationships with our business partners, team members and other interns.

Leader Speaker Series: You and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety of sessions and presentations given by members of the Cigna community.

What you need to do the job:

Ideal candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and has completed at least 2 year in desired majors including, but are not limited to Accounting, Business, Finance, and other related fields

3.0 GPA or higher is preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, specifically in Excel is required

Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines

Ability to handle sensitive or confidential information is critical

Proficiency in problem solving and analytical thinking

Excellent verbal/written communication skills

Strong customer service skills required

Strong business aptitude and teamwork skills

Additional Information:

Location: This role is hybrid, which allows some work to be performed at home, but will have an expectation for certain days in the Bloomfield, CT office, but that is subject to change. Geographical preference is for the incumbent to be in the Hartford, CT area. The internship is paid and housing assistance is not offered.

Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 12 weeks in summer 2023, beginning May 22, 2023, and 24-hour work weeks Monday-Friday, during the academic year. This is a year-round internship. The hours worked will be in Eastern Time.

Start Date: May 22, 2023

Market Range: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $20.00 \xe2\x80\x93 $23.00 an hour depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
