Role: Training Lead
Location: 121 S.W. Salmon St., Portland, OR \xe2\x80\x93 97204 / Remote
Duration: 06 months

Must have Skills: Communication, Utility Operation, Change Management, Content Development, Adult learning.

Required Skills:
  • Working knowledge of utility operations is a plus. Progressive experience in the field of adult education in an operational environment is preferred.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, nimble learning, and be a confident speaker.
  • 8 or more years in training with at least 3 years of operational or technical training experience.
  • Training Specialist with strong communication and writing abilities.
  • Top 3 Must-Haves (Hard and/or Soft Skills):
1. Communications and change-management experience is a plus. * 2. savvy content development

Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in business, science, engineering, adult learning, instructional design, computer-based content development, technology or other related field or equivalent experience
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading a needs assessment as well as the design and implementation of learning solutions for compliance personnel and end users, to facilitate effective compliance tracking and documentation using the new software.
  • Writing or editing content, developing format, reviewing layout, securing needed reviews and publishing materials.
  • Creating and delivering a specific training development plan complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, manuals and learning resources, including live/online delivery and recorded computer-based e-learning trainings based on software product vendor provided train-the-trainer training and materials.
  • Aligning training material, communications and approved templates to brand concepts and standards.
  • Facilitating or leading a team of facilitators/SMEs for instructor-led training, establishing group norms, adapting content to participant needs, ensuring emotional safety, and leading discussions and activities.
  • Collaborating with the project team, internal stakeholders, and subject matter experts via the Microsoft Teams platform.
  • Developing, adapting, and disseminating information via designated channels on training resources pre and post go-live.
  • Identifying future training needs.
  • Acting as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
  • Meeting the timelines for the project to facilitate the delivery of high-quality, effective training.
