POSITION: Director of Operations CLASSIFICATION: Exempt REPORTS TO: President & CEO SALARY RANGE: $ ~$110,000 (DOE) EFFECTIVE DATE: ASAP Description: The primary objective of the TMVOA Operations Director (OD) is to manage the day-to-day operations of the organization and ensure that the objectives and operating requirements are successfully achieved. The OD will work closely with the President and CEO (PC) to ensure that goals are aligned with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s mission as prescribed with TMVOA\xe2\x80\x99s governing documents and that activities are compliant with CCIOA (Colorado Common Interest Ownership Act), state and federal laws. The OD will manage TMVOA\xe2\x80\x99s Operations Manager and be responsible in coordination with the PC for the implementation of policies, procedures, annual goals, objectives, financials, Board and committee meetings. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Provides strong, effective leadership of staff to ensure that employees are stimulated, motivated and guided to contribute fully and appropriately to TMVOA\xe2\x80\x99s mission, vision, goals and objectives. Responsible for development, implementation, and accomplishment of the annual plan as approved by the PC. 2. Assesses, analyzes and advises the PC on financial, administrative and operational matters and the proposed actions of TMVOA. 3. Responsible for various facets of financial management, including revenues, expenses, and asset management, ensuring that policies and controls are in place to minimize errors and irregularities. Works closely with TMVOA\xe2\x80\x99s outsourced accounting and financial team members. 4. Responsible for administration of operations of TMVOA, including: reviewing and evaluating the results of program activities, ensuring that continuing contractual obligations are being fulfilled: allocating resources for greater program effectiveness and efficiency; developing organizational and administrative policies and program objectives, develop and implement new marketing strategies and programs to ensure the growth and stability of TMVOA. 5. General Management of aspects of TMVOA human resource functions, including job descriptions, performance reviews, employee development, benefits, and legal compliance. Ensure that staff are provided with appropriate support systems and responsive, quality service in the area of human resources. 6. Responsible for development and management of agendas for Board of Director and committee meetings, including overseeing and leading various meetings. 7. To act as the liaison with community and regional partners, including but not limited to the Town of Mountain Village, Town of Telluride and San Miguel County. 8. Develop, execute, and deliver clear and compelling communications to TMVOA membership to keep them informed and educated. Communications may take the form of several medium, including but not limited to electronic eblasts, newsletters, print, web, social media, etc. 9. Responsible for development, implementation and management of special projects and initiatives designed to benefit the TMVOA membership and the community. This may include project management of capital projects or similar initiatives in the Town Hall Subarea or Village Center. 10. Work closely with TMVOA vendors and contract service providers to ensure positive, efficient, and productive working relationships and workflows. 11. All other assignments and projects as may be assigned by the PC. Strategic Implementation 1. Identifies areas requiring planning; develop and recommends goals, objectives and action plans. 2. Monitors and evaluates all services provided to staff and reports progress to the PC and committees; makes recommendations for change as needed. 3. Oversees the development of the annual budget for submission to the PC; ensures compliance with approved budgets; proposes revisions as necessary. 4. Oversees the human resources function to ensure optimum staffing and utilization of competent staff, recommending policy changes to benefits, compensation, employment, training, and other areas as appropriate.
