Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Athletic Director for Business and Finance, the position will serve as the Director of Operations for approximately 18 sports, including monitoring budgets that total over $1.6M, coordinating travel and support services, and performing analytical projects as assigned. Position will work directly with coaching staffs in Cross Country, Soccer, Tennis, Track & Field, Water Polo, Beach Volleyball, Equestrian, Field Hockey, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Softball, Swimming & Diving. Assist other programs as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Maneuver and move boxes of promotional materials and other goods weighing up to 40 lbs.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Division I Intercollegiate Athletics or professional sports.
• Experience in procurement and event planning/travel coordination for a complex organization.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with a large number of constituents: administrators, staff, students, donors, alumni, and media professionals

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years of work experience in Intercollegiate Athletics or professional sports, or equivalent experience.
• Skill and experience to train less experienced staff.
• Knowledge of Intercollegiate Athletics.
• Knowledge of UC Davis systems, including KFS, Decision Support, Prepurchasing, AggieTravel and AggieBuy. Knowledge of UC Davis, including its achievements, mission, goals, vision,

and objectives. * Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

• Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
