Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing a variety of tile surfaces across residential, commercial, and industrial projects. Your expertise will help transform spaces by creating durable, aesthetically pleasing tiled surfaces that meet precise specifications. Duties

Measure, cut, and lay tiles with precision according to blueprints, schematics, and project specifications Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying suitable underlayment or adhesive materials Install various types of tiles including ceramic, porcelain, stone, glass, and mosaic in floors, walls, backsplashes, and other surfaces Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and secure tiles Perform grout application, caulking, sealing, and finishing touches to ensure a professional appearance Read blueprints and schematics accurately to determine layout patterns and measurements Collaborate with construction management teams to ensure project timelines are met while maintaining quality standards

Requirements

Proven experience in tile laying or related construction trades with a strong portfolio of completed projects Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematic interpretation for accurate installation planning Familiarity with construction management principles including estimating and inspection processes Ability to operate hand tools such as trowels, chisels, levels, saws; power tools including drills and wet saws; heavy equipment operation is a plus Knowledge of related trades such as carpentry, masonry, plastering, concrete finishing, roofing, drywall installation, and fixture installation Experience with construction site safety protocols and ability to work effectively in various environments Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills to address on-site challenges efficiently Knowledge of construction software like Bluebeam is advantageous but not required Additional skills in plumbing or electrical work are a plus for versatile project support

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.33 - $31.71 per hour
