We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tile Installer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in flooring installation, tile laying, and related construction tasks. This role involves working on various residential and commercial projects, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Tile Installer will collaborate with project managers and other trades to complete remodeling, restoration, and new construction projects efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Measure and prepare surfaces for tile installation using blueprint reading and schematics.
Cut, shape, and lay tiles accurately using hand tools, power tools, and tile saws.
Apply caulking, grout, and sealants to ensure durable finishes.
Install fixtures, trim carpentry elements, cabinets, and other related components as needed.
Perform water damage restoration tasks including water extraction, drying, and repair work.
Conduct floor care maintenance such as buffing, cleaning, and finishing to ensure a polished appearance.
Assist with remodeling projects involving concrete finishing, painting, or fixture installation when required.
Follow safety protocols on construction sites to maintain a safe working environment.
Read blueprints and schematics to accurately execute project specifications.
Estimate materials needed for tile projects and assist with construction estimating when necessary.
Qualifications
Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction work.
Knowledge of construction estimating, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and schematic diagrams.
Proficiency with hand tools such as caulking guns, saws, chisels, and carpentry tools; experience with power tools preferred.
Background in carpentry, cabinet installation, or maintenance person work is advantageous.
Experience in restoration industry tasks including water damage restoration or renovation projects is a plus.
Familiarity with the use of floor care equipment like buffing machines; ability to perform concrete finishing or remodeling tasks is desirable.
Strong understanding of construction site safety standards and procedures.
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and quality workmanship.
