We are seeking an energetic and experienced theater instructor to join our team! As a theater instructor you will lead a class of students through a successful school year, creating and implementing a comprehensive performing arts curriculum. Your goal is to create a welcoming learning environment and provide students with the tools they need to reach their full potential. The ideal candidate is compassionate, creative, and has a passion for children

Responsibilities:
  • Plan a classroom curriculum that meets From the Heart Standards
  • Encourage the development of students\xe2\x80\x99 critical thinking skills
  • Prepare any necessary learning materials
  • Assist with creating play
  • Assisting students with learning their lines and blocking
  • Document students\xe2\x80\x99 learning progress
  • Collaborate with other teachers and school personnel to create a healthy and safe learning environment
  • Assist with students to create creative theater pieces
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or higher but not required
  • Previous experience teaching at the k-12 level is preferred
  • Understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
  • Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
