We operate two permanent collection sites in our community, where the public drops off household items that require specialized disposal.
Although no two days are the same, you can typically expect to:

• Unload household items from vehicles

• Sort and consolidate materials by type (based on basic chemistry \xe2\x80\x93 which we will teach you!)

• Label items appropriately

• Transport and inventory items and materials around the site

• Maintain a safe and clean working area

• Works with hazardous materials in an industrial setting, some tasks require the wearing Chemical suits and full - face respirators.
• Adheres to OSHA and Coporate safety policy.
• Uses knowledge of DOT and RCRA regulations in all tasks
• Accepts hazardous waste from public.
• Completes Charge Sheets, waste Logs and other forms accurately.
• Segregates, weighs, and consolidates hazardous waste into drums and boxes.
• Packages, Labels, and loads containers of waste onto trucks and trailers for shipment.
• Work as part of a hazardous waste spill cleanup team.
• Operates a warehouse forklift to move materials and load trucks/trailers.
• Works part of the day outside in all types of weather.

What you need to apply:

• Current 40-hour HAZWOPPER training

• Ability to work Tuesday through Saturdays (8 hours each day).

• Comfort working outside in a variety of elements.

• Ability to pass pre-employment background checks and drug screening.

• Ability to regularly stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift and/or move up to 50 pounds for movement of supplies or containers.

• Comfort wearing Personal Protective Equipment as necessary.

• Construction/production line experience a plus!
