YOUR LIFE AS A TALENT ACQUISITION SPECIALIST
This recruitment position in our HR department works a full-time schedule with occasional overnight travel. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you play a key role in helping us discover and attract our most important resource-our people. You have a passion for finding talent, and you put that passion to work as you develop and execute a recruiting strategy for all our hiring needs. As part of that strategy, you create job descriptions and specifications. You then work with our managers to determine our annual hiring needs, the qualifications for each position, and the time frame in which they need to be filled. Next, you attract qualified candidates by using job boards, databases, social media, and other creative techniques. When applications come in, you take the lead in screening, assessing, and interviewing. As part of your efforts to recruit new talent, you maintain a network of contacts that includes college and university placement offices. Personable and friendly, you attend career fairs and manage our internship program. You also participate in professional societies, educational programs, and civic affairs to help promote our engineering company\'s reputation. Serving as backup to the human resources generalist, you enforce changes in regulation and perform other duties that help our HR department run smoothly. Your days are full of interesting recruitment challenges, and you enjoy rubbing shoulders with the people you meet. WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
  • 5+ years of experience in recruitment or human resources
  • Experience with screening and conducting various types of interviews, including by phone and video
  • Advanced knowledge about MS Office, database management, and internet searches
  • Familiarity with job boards, HR software, databases, and management systems
  • Valid driver\'s license and the willingness to do some overnight travel
A bachelor\'s degree in human resource management or a related field is preferred. Proficiency with content management systems, experience developing a recruiting strategy, and a willingness to attend training opportunities are also preferred.
