Job Description


Tableau Server Configuration:
Install, upgrade, and set up Tableau Server and related components.
Fine-tune server performance by optimizing configurations, managing cache settings,
and adjusting load balancers.
Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for Tableau Server.
Configure authentication methods, including LDAP, SSO, and Active Directory
integrations.
System Administration:
Monitor server activities, analyze logs, and ensure optimal performance and uptime.
Manage user groups, permissions, and security protocols, ensuring compliance with
organizational policies.
Regularly backup and restore Tableau repositories, ensuring data safety.
Development:
Design, develop, and optimize Tableau dashboards and reports.
Collaborate with business units to translate complex requirements into interactive
visualizations.
Ensure dashboards are optimized for performance, leveraging data extracts and
aggregates.
Data Management:
Establish and maintain connections to diverse data sources, ensuring seamless data flow
into Tableau.
Oversee data preparation, transformation, and modeling to ensure readiness for
visualization.
Collaboration:
Act as the primary point of contact for all Tableau-related queries, providing expert
guidance and support.
Conduct training sessions, workshops, and webinars to enhance the Tableau skills of
end-users.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in Tableau Server configurations, features, and
industry best practices.

Proactively recommend and implement enhancements to enrich the Tableau
environment.
Maintain comprehensive documentation detailing Tableau Server architecture,
configuration changes, data sources, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor\'s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
3 + years of hands-on experience in Tableau Server configuration and administration.
Profound knowledge of Tableau Server\'s internal architecture and components.
Strong understanding of SQL, relational databases, and data warehousing concepts.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and a keen eye for detail.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
