Overview

Axient is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support the the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center Armament Directorate. The Armament Directorate has a sustained need for support at the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Armament Directorate (AFLCMC/EB), headquartered at Eglin Air Force Base (AFB), FL.

Responsibilities

• Provide resources with the knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver systems engineering capability in support of the acquisition process.
• Provide knowledge and experience to support the following activities for armament systems:
• material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support.
• Application and execution of the following systems engineering technical, and technical management processes:

• requirements definition and analysis
• architecture design
• implementation
• integration
• modeling and simulation
• trade space identification and assessment
• verification and validation
• decision analysis
• technical planning
• technical assessment
• requirements management
• risk management
• configuration management
• technical data management
• interface management
• Ability to plan and execute technical interchange meetings (TIMs), as well as the technical reviews and assessments (e.g., System Requirements Review, Technology Readiness Assessment) and documentation development (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan, Risk Management Plan) that are an inherent part of the activities and processes listed above.

• Must have an active and transferrable DoD TS/SCI security clearance with current background investigation at the required level. Must be able to maintain the required clearance.
• MS degree + 15yrs; PhD + 5yrs with ME/EE/AE/Sys Eng or Physics major preferred
• Degree program must be ABET accredited and relevant; Experience must be relevant.
