We lead BlackRock\xe2\x80\x99s sustainability and transition strategy. We drive cross-functional change. We support client and external engagement. And we power product ideation and embed sustainability expertise across the firm. This is a big deal; BlackRock managed $586 billion in sustainable assets as of end 2022. About the role We are seeking a high-energy, self-motivated and organized Vice president / Director who is passionate about sustainability to join STS in a multi-faceted and dynamic role. The successful candidate will work in New York City across the STS client, strategy and strategy pillars: Strategy & Transformation \xe2\x80\x93 sets firmwide sustainability strategy and drives cross-functional commercial, regulatory and reputational initiatives. Client Engagement & Sales \xe2\x80\x93 drives the commercialization of our sustainable and transition strategies in partnership with sales teams and product strategists, including education agenda Policy & External Engagement \xe2\x80\x93 partners with Policy pillar and External Affairs to engage on policies that affect sustainable investment strategies, product innovation and regulatory compliance. The candidate will have the ability to build and expand their BlackRock network by working with many partner teams on projects of strategic importance, develop a wide breadth of skills. Our team is the connective tissue on all things sustainable for BlackRock. We work closely with the Sustainable Investment Research & Analytics team within the BlackRock Investment Institute, Aladdin Sustainability Lab, Global Product Group, Global Client Business, External Affairs, Portfolio Management Group and EII to deliver whole portfolio solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate has or is:

• 7+ years experience in investment management, product, client management or business management
• Thorough understanding of \xe2\x80\x93 and passion for \xe2\x80\x93 financial markets and sustainable investing as well as the commercial and regulatory sustainability landscape for asset management.
• Ability to build relationships with both senior business leaders and key staff who can move the needle.
• Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills.
• An energetic team player and driven self-starter, with a positive mind set and excellent work ethic.
• Ability to multitask and have attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Adaptable, versatile and reliable with a strong \xe2\x80\x9ccan do\xe2\x80\x9d attitude.

For New York City only: The salary range for this position is $156,750 \xe2\x80\x93 $205,000. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
