We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef who respects the craft, works cleanly and efficiently, and understands the rhythm of a busy sushi bar. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in quality execution and enjoys contributing to a professional, collaborative kitchen.
Responsibilities
Prepare sushi, sashimi, rolls, and related dishes with accuracy, consistency, and care
Maintain proper handling, storage, and preparation of fish and ingredients
Keep the sushi station clean, organized, and compliant with food safety standards
Work closely with kitchen and front-of-house teams to ensure smooth, timely service
Support prep work, inventory awareness, and waste reduction
Follow established recipes and presentation standards
Assist in guiding and supporting junior kitchen staff as needed
Qualifications
Previous experience working as a Sushi Chef or Sushi Cook in a restaurant setting
Strong knife skills and confidence working with raw fish
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper handling practices
Ability to stay calm and focused in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
