JOB SUMMARY
The Supply Chain Services Manager, under the direction of the SCS Director, provides leadership for all aspects of SCS logistics, systems, and services. Guides SCS staff, maintains operational procedures and budgets, engages in cost analyses, inventory management, and process improvement while ensuring high level customer service to facility departments. Self-motivated to complete work in a timely manner to meet deadlines and take direction and utilize autonomous conclusion-making skills and display a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Utilizes proficient skills in computer-based programs. Serves as departmental liaison for SCS with key departments. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

  • Performs leadership role in all facility SCM daily operational processes.
  • Ensures efficiencies in logistics and practices.
  • Oversees all functions of delivery processes of supplies to customer departments.
  • Assists SCM director/manager in establishing, maintaining, and managing policies and procedures.
  • Maintains orderly and organized work area to facilitate efficient processes.
  • Evaluates and resolves all necessary SCM reports such as Open Receiving, Invoice Discrepancy, and MM280. Oversees accurate documentation of supply distribution tracking for volumes and trends.
  • Engages in problem-solving techniques during daily operations.
  • Supervises the accuracy of min/maxes, Quantities on Hand, and cycle counts.
  • Supervises SCM staff as assigned by SCM Director.
  • Utilizes excellent communication skills. Plans SCM staff work schedules and assigns duties.
  • Monitors, corrects, and performs employee time and payroll.
  • Engages in staff mentoring and cross-training opportunities. Provides input of staff performance evaluations to SCM Director.
  • Ensures accurate tracking of supply data such as back orders, manufacturer numbers, expiration dates, product recalls, lot numbers, etc. as needed.
  • Communicates with BSWH customer service and vendor customer service for problem resolution on supply issues.
  • Provides concise and timely communication to facility departments on a consistent basis.
  • Provides exceptional leadership role in semi-annual facility inventory and General Stores inventory.
  • Runs in preparation and department education for inventory processes. Reviews reports, makes corrections, and examines variances.
  • Participates in facility meetings to include presentation of analyses, information, or procedures.
  • Teams with the SCM Director in leadership of the facility SERT meetings.
  • Possesses ability to perform essential daily job functions that encompass the following requirements:
    • Frequent moving, being upright, bending
    • Rare occasions of squatting and/or crawling
    • Continuous ability to engage in fine manipulation and simple grasping
    • Continuous ability to raise up to 50 pounds from floor to waist
    • Continuous ability to raise up to 20 pounds from waist to over-the-head routinely
    • Continuous ability to transfer up to 25 pounds
    • Routine use of hospital moving aids such as hand-trucks, pallet jacks, and other powered warehouse equipment as required
    • Routine pushing and/or pulling of hospital transport carts with weight up to 150 pounds
    • Routine use of step-stools, ladders as required
    • Some being stationary required for clerical-oriented desk work
