Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Stocker / Cashier to join our retail team. This position plays a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for customers by maintaining well-stocked shelves and providing excellent customer service at the checkout. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, basic math proficiency, and experience in retail sales. Bilingual abilities and supervising experience are a plus, helping to enhance team performance and customer interactions.

Duties

Operate POS systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly Stock shelves, organize merchandise, and ensure products are properly displayed according to merchandising standards Assist customers with product inquiries, product demos, and upselling opportunities to maximize sales Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy Maintain a clean and organized checkout area and store environment Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and addressing concerns with professionalism Supervise or assist in supervising other team members when needed Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items Support inventory management through stock replenishment and merchandising efforts Promote store promotions and sales to increase overall store revenue

Skills

Experience with POS systems and cash register operations Strong customer service skills with excellent phone etiquette and communication abilities Ability to perform retail math calculations accurately for transactions and inventory management Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising, and stocking procedures Bilingual skills are preferred to serve diverse customer needs effectively Supervising experience is advantageous for leadership roles within the team Demonstrated ability in upselling, product demos, and retail sales techniques Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers Excellent interpersonal skills to foster positive customer relationships Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment while maintaining attention to detail
