Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cashier/Stocker to join our team. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while efficiently managing transactions and maintaining the store's inventory. Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with inquiries and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience. Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate cash handling procedures. Stock shelves with merchandise, ensuring products are organized and displayed attractively for customers. Conduct product demonstrations to promote sales and enhance customer knowledge of products. Assist in merchandising efforts to optimize product visibility and accessibility. Supervise junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and stockroom. Utilize retail math skills for inventory management and sales tracking.

Requirements

Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales is preferred. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette. Basic math skills for handling transactions and stock management. Ability to upsell products effectively while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers. Experience with stocking, merchandising, and product displays in a grocery store setting is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to enhance customer interactions.
