Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Stocker / Cashier to join our retail team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing transactions efficiently, and ensuring the store remains well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, experience with retail sales, and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills are a plus to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an opportunity to develop sales and merchandising skills while contributing to a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and transactions Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service Assist customers with product inquiries and product demos when needed Stock shelves and organize merchandise to ensure attractive displays Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities Maintain proper merchandising standards throughout the store Manage inventory levels and notify management of stock shortages Supervise or assist with product demos and promotional activities Handle phone inquiries professionally, maintaining good phone etiquette Ensure cleanliness and safety of the checkout area and store environment

Experience

Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred Familiarity with POS systems and cashiering procedures Supervising experience is a plus, especially in team settings Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued Basic math skills for retail math, cash handling, and sales transactions Knowledge of merchandising, stocking, and upselling techniques Customer service experience demonstrating professionalism and patience Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy retail setting

Pay: From $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 30 per week
