Job Description

Step into a role as Steve & Kate's Field Trip Planner where in this role, you will be responsible for designing, coordinating, and evaluating field trip programs that are safe, engaging, and cost-effective. The position handles logistics, vendor relationships, and budgeting to ensure smooth execution across multiple regions. It involves researching and curating unique activity packages, maintaining inventory, and supporting field teams with scheduling and emergency response. Responsibilities:



Depending on the line of business, the position may perform some or all of the below functions:



Forecasts spending on activities, food and transportation, and reports actuals monthly, tracking costs as needed by budget. Handles the logistics and inventory which are needed to run field trip programs. Evaluates activity locations for safety and security, building packages that take into account travel time, variety and exclusivity Communicates with transportation companies to ensure transportation is secured for each trip Establish local and national partnerships with field trip venues and transportation companies, securing group discounts where possible and evaluating locations for success and innovation regularly. Visit field trips to observe operations, provide support, give feedback, and implement change; may need to travel and possibly lead field trips in the event of an emergency. Contribute to regular financial reporting and analysis to support decision-making and fiscal responsibility Maintain financial accountability, including monitoring expenses, processing invoices, and ensuring efficient use of resources Ensure compliance with State licensing regulations and American Camp Association (ACA) standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge and implementation of all relevant policies and procedures Tracks program funds by anticipating expenses, preparing a field trip program budget, tracking expenses, and following procurement procedures to purchase necessary program goods and services. Partners closely with the procurement team to ensure all procurement policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality or related field preferred - Required 3 years in event/logistics planning - Required Minimum 3 additional years of experience that would be considered in lieu of the applicable degree:

At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required Past experience managing across Operations, People, Customer Service and Financial/Budgetary functions Experience working with vendors, sales, or event planning preferred Work can be done remotely, but employees will be expected to travel as needed to meet with and observe programs throughout the year.

Salary/Hourly Rate and Other Compensation Disclosures:




The annual starting salary for this position is between $72,000- $82,000. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
