Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Type: Contract Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all medical equipment and instruments are thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized before use in surgical procedures or other medical treatments. This is a critical role in maintaining the safety and well-being of our patients. Responsibilities:

- Inspect, clean, and decontaminate medical instruments and equipment using appropriate tools, techniques, and solutions.
- Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and gas plasma sterilizers.
- Assemble and package sterilized medical instruments and equipment for use in surgical procedures.
- Monitor and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain inventory of sterile supplies and equipment and order additional supplies as needed.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Follow strict protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in sterile processing preferred.
- 1-2 years of experience in sterile processing or a related field.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and surgical procedures.
- Ability to operate and maintain sterilization equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Physical ability to stand, lift, and move heavy objects.
