Certified Sterile Processing Technician

Responsibilities and Skills:

• Maintenance and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment, including autoclave and ETO
• Prepare instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies for surgical procedures
• Set up and break down of ORs
• Regular deep cleaning and restocking of all ORs and sterile processing room
• Receive, decontaminate, assemble, and sterilize surgical equipment
• Organize surgical supplies
• Monitor all surgical inventory in conjunction with surgical technicians
• Assist surgeons and surgical technicians as a non-sterile OR float person during orthopedic and soft tissue procedures

Skills/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• CRCST certification strongly encouraged
• Ability to work independently and in team setting
• Self-motivated
• Thrives in fast-paced environment
• Excellent time management skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills

Position:

Full- time (40 hours- nights/weekends/holidays may be required)

Physical Requirements:

This job is physically active and requires frequent bending and standing for long periods of time.
