Under supervision of the Principal Investigator in the Department of Radiology, the Staff Research Associate 1 (SRA1) will design and prepare plans and specifications for projects and related algorithms, coordinate testing of software, and participate in the collection, maintenance and analysis of experimental data. The SRA1 will test the feasibility of the design with consideration of such factors as system effectiveness, reliability and configuration. Will be responsible for the design and engineering for algorithms and performing computer image analysis. Responsible for the implementation, development and testing of mathematical formulations and data analysis. Assemble and evaluate information and prepare reports with respect to design criteria and performance of software. Maintain documentation of work progress and computer program, create manuals for the programs. Produce reports, assemble and organize accurate information to meet deadlines as assigned.This position is limited to 1 Year. Salary Range: $24.88 to $29.67 Hourly
Qualifications * Mathematical related BS Degree or equivalent experience - required * Computer Programming background - required * Experience and working knowledge of various workstations (e.g.. Freesurfer, FSL, Linux, MATLAB, AFNI, SPM, Vital Images, Osirix, Visage, Siemens Syngo) to process and generate high quality multimodal images - preferred * Ability to function as a team member yet still able to work independently * Ability to prepare data for publication * Ability to write technical material in scientific language * Demonstrated skill in problem solving, prioritizing assignments in an efficient team setting. * Strong interpersonal skills for interaction to communicate diplomatically and effectively with peers, researchers, and University faculty and staff
