Description: JOB PURPOSE: Handles the conceptualization and development of new products including creating aspects of form, aesthetics, physical and psychological interfaces between users and products, and system compatibility where required. Plans, establishes, and manages a variety of tasks including research, concept production, model making, and presentation in the aesthetic and functional design of products, exhibits, and displays.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESULTS:

• Enhances Consumer Appeal of Product by contributing to or establishing the aesthetic and functional design of products.
• Proposes Design Concepts by creating documentation necessary to convey the design solution to management or other business functions through renderings, models, mechanical drawings, and written reports.
• Formulates Specifications by preparing dimensional, material, color, finish, and manufacturing criteria necessary to support industrial design intent. Specifications developed in conjunction with marketing, engineering, manufacturing, and outside vendors under the supervision of design management.
• Supports Marketing Efforts by providing drawings for ad agencies, marketing and consumer printed material.
• Maintains Professional and Technical Knowledge by attending educational workshops; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
• Contributes To Team Effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Industrial Design.
• At least 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years of professional experience in the Industrial Design field. Portfolio and/or previous work performance should demonstrate the ability to meet requirements of Job Purpose and Results.
• Requires the ability for tactful communication involved in the interpretation of marketing, engineering, and product needs.
• Creative and technical skills to provide visual communication of concepts.
• Requires working knowledge of PC based desktop illustration and CAD programs.
