Reporting to the Senior Manager, Enterprise Engagement & Communications, Janssen North America, this role will be responsible for crafting and amplifying our leadership team\xe2\x80\x99s messages and voice to the more than 5,000 employees in our nearly $30 billion per year business. Most importantly, this role will serve as the key connection point between the overarching J&J and Janssen strategic priorities and those of our brand-level business. In this role, the Senior Specialist will be responsible for clearly communicating about events within the businesses and how those advance the wider Janssen NA priorities in a timely and seamless fashion. The work will include production of compelling content for our internal news announcements, organizational town halls and forums, social/online channels, and creating other innovative ways of optimizing existing and emerging communications platforms. The Senior Specialist will also ensure that internal and external communications of Janssen NA elements are aligned, consistent and compliant with the organization\xe2\x80\x99s strategy, ethos, and government-mandated regulations. The Senior Specialist will develop creative content and compelling narratives for use across multiple channels and platforms; effectively optimize internal and external social channels; help business leadership connect with key stakeholders in ways that add value to the business; and spotlight employees who make a difference in the communities where we live and work in order to make a difference in the lives of patients. The successful candidate will have demonstrated strong abilities to translate strategy into an executable plan that includes metrics for success, exercise sound business and communications judgment, is a purpose-centric leader with the ability to convene and lead others to action, while also being a team player. Organizational Communications and Social Media:
  • Owns implementation of the Janssen NA Pharm internal communication and employee engagement strategy.
  • Develops messages and content that inspires, engages, informs, and aligns our employees to our goals and priorities.
  • Owns platform and content management for our internal communication portals (e.g. intranet, Yammer, dedicated microsites for our businesses, culture, digital governance, etc.) and Janssen US website (external).Brings an energetic and innovative approach to content creation and storytelling that achieves a connection with our audience.
  • Provides counsel and enforces governance related to our branding guidelines.
  • Coordinates/aligns our U.S. social media strategy and ongoing monitoring partnering with key partners in legal, regulatory, med. affairs and SCG.
  • Supports our Global Community Impact programs and campaigns across North America and our businesses.
  • Manages logistics support for virtual town halls and forums, and on-site catering, room bookings and coordination with facilities as needed.
  • Drives alignment behind and agreed measurement approach to organizational communication, incorporating relevant metrics that are indicators of employee engagement.
  • Owns responsibility for email formatting and distribution of selected NA and business communications, post-meeting surveys and feedback, partnering with JALT admins to ensure distribution lists are locally maintained and updated to reach NA employees.
  • Oversees and manages on-site digital signage (Infocast) across all NA commercial campus.
  • Supports field communications, as appropriate, across our key business areas.
  • Works effectively with contractors and agencies supporting organizational communications, content platforms and meetings/events.
Executive Communication:
  • Supports business town halls and key Janssen Forums (all-NA employee town halls) and Janssen Senior Leadership Forums.
  • Leads content strategy and development of communications for business leaders, including the Vice President of NA Communications & Public Affairs.
Qualifications: Required:
  • Proven ability to make informed decisions and demonstrate sound judgment based on compiled information and track record of successful internal and external communications achievements
  • Demonstrated ability to craft compelling stories, with superior written, oral, and visual communications abilities.
  • At least 3 years of communication experience and a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or equivalent.
  • Solid functional understanding of digital and social media platforms, including using analytics to improve performance.
  • Candidates will have strong Project Management skills and experience in managing multiple projects within time and budget.
  • Have impeccable command of language, including strong skills in grammar, punctuation, spelling, vocabulary, clarity, brevity, engagement, proofreading and revising.
  • Experience in a company, NGO, government agency or public relations agency.
  • A willingness to learn and innovate value-added means for meeting tactical and strategic job requirements.
Preferred:
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical, healthcare industry.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $73,000 to $117,300.
