THE OPPORTUNITY

The contribution of our Finance teams is vital to the performance, profitability, and continued growth of the Primient business. Across Finance, we are exploring new and better ways to harness data, improve decision-making and add value \xe2\x80\x93 while optimizing the investment we are making in our plants and people.

The Senior Financial Analyst (SFA) is a highly visible role that will be responsible for supporting day-to-day corporate finance activities as well as providing analysis to support management decisions. These finance activities include corporate and product line reporting, operational and direct cost analysis, monthly P&L forecasting, annual budgeting, and miscellaneous project work. A successful candidate will be comfortable and seasoned in collaboration, as you will partner with senior leadership, commercial management, product management, supply chain and other cross-functional team members to deliver decision-making support for key deliverables and business initiatives. This position will report to the Director of FP&A and be based in Schaumburg; Primient employees are currently working a hybrid schedule.

Key responsibilities: Sr. Financial Analyst

  • Support development of annual budgets, strategic business plans and monthly forecasts including analysis and variance explanations
  • Helps ensure the integrity and accuracy of global management reporting package as well as consistent reporting templates, driving uniform reviews
  • Manage and improve various reporting cycles and lead the monthly forecasting & monthly reporting package including consolidated financial statements and analysis of key performance indicators and presentation to the executive leadership team
  • Supports preparation of presentations for senior management team and assist corporate FP&A director with presentations to the CFO, CEO, and Board of Directors
  • Creates and advises on business-driven financial analyses, ensuring alignment with business strategies, priorities, and financial requirements, such as modeling the viability of new business efforts to include cost-benefit analyses, revenue alternatives, and costing scenarios based on the business leaders\xe2\x80\x99 strategic direction and input
  • Provides financial consulting on key strategic initiatives and priorities to help the organization stay focused on achieving their strategic goals
  • Quickly develop a detailed understanding of the business and market, including products/services, business segments, customers, and competitors
  • Data Structure Support \xe2\x80\x93 help support any efforts to consolidate data centrally and ensure follows common structure for whole organization
  • Demonstrate energy and enthusiasm to learn or improve SQL / Big Data, including experience with data warehouses, to be able to access, manage and gain insights directly from data
  • Partner with the Accounting team to create a best-in-class finance & accounting function, ensuring roles & responsibilities are aligned to allow for the most efficient use of company resources
  • Adhoc analysis & other business requests - use BI and Planful to provide adhoc reports and analysis as needed to support overall business
ABOUT YOU
  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in financial analysis, financial/strategic planning, reporting or FP&A
  • Prior experience with financial reporting systems and visualization tools, such as SAP, Planful, Onestream and Power BI
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions and processes
  • Broad overall business acumen with proficient ability to talk with executives in business terms
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines. Ability to work without direct supervision, and efficiently manage tasks and time
  • Hands on, deadline & detail oriented

  • Occasional travel, typically less than 10%
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, Outlook required; Advanced Microsoft Excel skills includes analytical modeling, robust chart prep and data mining for large data sets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and superlative listening skills
  • Keen attention to detail in planning, organization, and execution of tasks, while still maintaining focus on overall company objectives (\xe2\x80\x9cthe big picture\xe2\x80\x9d)
  • Demonstration of innovation and initiative \xe2\x80\x93 always looking at improving our processes and displaying a willingness to dive into the details and help wherever necessary
