Join our Downtown Denver Accounting Team

Salary: $75,000 - $95,000 / year

Sr. Cost Accountant (Hybrid) Responsibilities:

  • Gathers and compiles cost information and maintains database.
  • Establish total labor hours for each operation for routings.
  • Act as accounting liaison with the plants during month end physical inventories.
  • Ensure Daily production postings are flowing through the ERP system properly.
  • Create any inventory and/or variance accounts.
  • Analyze cost standards.
  • Set up conversion factors.
  • Review and analyze actual costs to identify inaccuracies.
  • Review, analyze, and report actual profit margins.
  • Perform month-end and year-end closings.
  • Perform account reconciliations.
  • Determine and recommend cost-effective solutions.
  • Set up Material, Labor, and Overhead cost standards for all RM, WIP, NV, and FG.
  • Create monthly Gross margin reports for each product.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Sr. Cost Accountant (Hybrid) Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree.in Accounting or Business Administration.
  • CPA, CMA is preferred.
  • 4+ years of cost accounting experience, preferably with ingredient commodities or food manufacturing.
  • Manufacturing experience mandatory.
  • Agtech System experience a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite with advanced Excel
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills, with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage confidential information.
  • Advanced knowledge of mathematics and statistics.
  • Specific skillset: equipment, systems, processes, auditing, etc.
  • Requires flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills - both oral and written.
  • High initiative with the ability to take processes to the next level.
Working Conditions:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Frequently use hands, arms, and fingers for high volume of typing, etc.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
