The Senior Job Cost Accountant is responsible for managing the job cost accounting function for construction projects, ensuring the accuracy of project financial data, and providing insights and analysis to support decision-making. Strong understanding of job cost accounting principles, regulations, and financial reporting standards, as well as experience leading and developing a team of job cost accountants.
Responsibilities:
Process owner billings, subcontractor billings, vendor invoices, and lien releases (owner, subcontractor, and sub-tier). Track project costs and compare to budgeted amounts. Monitor and review accounting discrepancies and variances. Participate in audits, reports, and process payments in relation to job cost accounting.
Skills:
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team and collaborate effectively with other departments in the company. Proficient in Sage, Procore, Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe, and Zoom.

Experience:
The Senior Job Cost Account has 5+ years of experience in job cost accounting in or related field in construction. Often has a bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or a related discipline. Participate in mid to large sized projects.
Preferably Sage software experience.
