Job Title Sr Accounting Manager

Job Purpose

What does a successful Manager do at Fiserv?

Assist the Operational Accounting Organization in the monthly financial close process including preparation of monthly journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations. Ensure documentation of reconciliations and journal entry procedures are maintained as changes occur.

What you will do:

• Manage a business unit accounting team through the monthly financial statement close process
• Review and analyze balance sheet account reconciliations in accordance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP)
• Complete monthly journal entries, research and resolve reconciling items timely
• Analyze contracts and various financial reports
• Participate in cross-functional projects as subject matter expert to support business, regulatory, and other operational changes
• Function as a liaison between Accounting, Finance, Product and Operations

What you will need to have:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Accounting/Finance or related field
• 5+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related work experience, and/or military experience
• 2+ years of managing a team
• Experience in the preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations

What would be great to have:

• Automated accounting systems experience, such as SAP
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Creative self-starter with strong initiative, ability to take ownership and work independently as well as contribute to a team
