Robert Half is actively looking for an accomplished Senior Accountant for a long-term contract / temporary opportunity. Operating as a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities

- Constantly improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Achieve compliance with corporate accounting policies and procedures and controls by working with business partners

- Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Complete other projects as required

- Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

- Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

Requirements

- Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision

- Proficient at analyzing financial data and promptly creating accurate reports

- 1+ years of overall general accounting experience

- SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus

- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing, with functional department managers

- Proficient in ERP systems

- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines

- Financial reporting experience desired

- Department SOP\'s experience required

- Proficiency in SAP Business ByDesign

- Familiarity with corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required

- BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired

- A candidate with financial reporting systems proficiency will be the best fit for this position

- Strong organization skills with a sense of urgency and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Accomplished in analytical, quantitative and social skills
