Duties



Assist the Head Chef in menu planning and recipe development to create innovative dishes that meet our high standards. Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure efficient food preparation and service. Oversee daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, food handling, and compliance with food safety regulations. Manage food production processes to maintain quality control and consistency across all dishes served. Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy shifts. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, adhering to health and safety standards. Assist in managing catering events, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals. Contribute to team management by fostering a positive work environment that encourages collaboration and creativity.

Requirements



Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within the food industry. Strong culinary skills with experience in fine dining, restaurant management, or catering services. Knowledge of dietary department practices and food service management principles. Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising kitchen staff and managing shifts effectively. Proficient in inventory control and management, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices for food handling. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members across departments. A passion for cooking and hospitality, with a commitment to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $28.00 - $33.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
