Title: Software Development Manager Department: Engineering

Job Summary:
This exciting new position will help lead the IP Pathways team in delivering new and innovative information technology solutions to the market. The Software Development Manager at IP Pathways primary responsibility will be to plan, direct, and coordinate all activities related to the development of IP Pathways\' suite of products as well as to manage the day to day team activities in order to ensure project and product delivery. The ideal candidate will have a background in growing and supporting highly functioning development teams as well as experience in information technology application development, automation and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Be a leader in the IP Pathways organization.
• Be a respected mentor to the development team.
• Grow the team by identifying, recruiting and on-boarding top talent.
• Manage a geographically diverse team.
• Work with executive leadership in identifying product vision, roadmaps, delivery schedules and release schedules.
• Act as the primary stakeholder for the resolution of any technical problems or deficits in product.
• Communicate with sales and marketing teams to receive customer feedback on product features.
• Participate in customer interactions to receive feedback on products and features.
• Ensure the right oversight, mentoring and training is in place to grow the team\xe2\x80\x99s technical, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Hold teams accountable for continuous improvement of their process, their technology, and themselves.
• Coach teams towards the right balance of near-term delivery and long-term product goals.
• Guide coach and mentor team members in order to get the best performance from them.
• Identify areas for process improvement and investment to optimize the capability of IP Pathways to develop and bring innovative solutions to the market.

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers.
• Experience in partnering with product and program management teams.
• A Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Computer Science or equivalent preferred.
• Deep hands-on technical expertise in distributed software design and development, preferably with cloud technologies.
• Experience with C++, Java, Java Script and other languages.
• Solid software development background including design patterns, data structures, test driven development.
• A deep understanding of the software development life-cycle, and a track record of shipping software on time
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• A passion for people management and mentoring

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation is based on experience and qualifications. A full package of benefits with health, vision, life insurance and retirement plan (401K) includes matching contributions.
