Are you passionate about decarbonizing the power generation and industrial sectors? We are seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth of hydrogen and green fuels offerings for North America. You will lead the sales process and work closely with the marketing team to identify new business opportunities and establish relationships with potential clients.

In addition, this position will coordinate business development activities on adjacent technologies that help our customers drive toward their decarbonization goals.

How You\'ll Make an Impact

  • Reporting to the Head of New Product Sales, this position will be responsible for identifying and pursuing sales opportunities for hydrogen related Gas Turbine offerings across the entire Siemens Energy fleet
  • Coordinate customer engagements with the Field Sales Account Managers to gain detailed knowledge of customer investment plans and real project prospects
  • Lead customer presentations promoting SE value proposition and client benefits
  • Provide periodic reporting to executive management as well as getting their support on strategic initiatives
  • Lead the sales strategy and provide direction to the proposals and engineering teams ensuring that focused effort is being made in line with the strategy
  • Negotiate contracts that meet Siemens Energy\'s order intake and margin targets
  • Coordinate with global marketing team on offerings, capabilities, and technologies under development
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, and use this knowledge to inform business strategy
  • Grow and maintain an active pipeline of projects with high forecasting accuracy in the CRM ()
  • Understand and work in accordance with company procedures ensuring compliance with the approved Limits of Authority
  • Travel to customer sites and corporate offices, estimated at 30%
What You Bring

The ideal candidate has a strong mixture of the below:
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university with 8+ years of sales or marketing experience in power generation or industrial processes (Those with more experience may be considered for a higher level)
  • Experience in developing thermal power generation assets, specifically gas turbines, is a significant plus
  • Ability to successfully build relationships with stakeholders, lead and coordinate a cross functional team, including product lines, legal, finance, marketing, and engineering
  • Possess an excellent understanding of the utility market and / or the marketing and selling plant upgrades on various types of rotating equipment
  • Experience with CRM software and sales analytics tools such as
  • Excellent negotiation experience with ability to represent Siemens Energy at multiple levels of management
  • Strong leadership skills to secure resources necessary to prepare proposals, deliver on commitments and to influence the customer to select our solutionsApplicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. About the Team

New Product Sales is responsible for taking product offerings to market by proactively understanding our customer\'s service needs so we can develop win/win power plant solutions that enable our customers to profitably compete in today\'s emerging power markets.

Gas Services

Our Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
