Responsibilities

Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages accurately and efficiently using POS TOAST system Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner to enhance their experience and promote menu items through sales techniques. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, adhering to food safety and food handling standards at all times. Manage cash handling, cashiering, and basic math calculations for bills, tips, and payments with precision. Take food orders when applicable, coordinate with kitchen staff for timely service, and assist with serving food at bars or events like banquets or catering functions. Monitor guest behavior to ensure compliance with alcohol service laws and responsible drinking policies. Restock bar supplies, garnishes, glassware, and utensils as needed to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts. Handle customer inquiries promptly, resolve issues professionally, and ensure every guest leaves satisfied. Assist in setting up for special events such as nightclubs or private parties, ensuring all beverage needs are met seamlessly.

Requirements

Proven experience as a bartender in fine dining establishments or banquet settings is preferred; retail or food service experience is also valuable. Familiarity with POS systems including TOAST POS for order processing and cash handling. Strong knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and responsible alcohol service laws. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while maintaining professionalism. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently using effective time management skills during high-volume periods. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, billing calculations, and sales transactions. Experience working in the food industry or hospitality environment is highly desirable; knowledge of brewing or catering is a plus. Strong communication skills to coordinate with team members and interact confidently with guests. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed in dynamic settings.
