Position Purpose:

The Sr.Salesforce.com Developer will design, code, test, and implement technical enhancements and solutions. You will be responsible for documenting and implementing technical specifications, providing LOE work estimates, and identifying dependencies as necessary. You will bring with you the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical deliverables that are focused on user centric designs while also maintaining the applications ability to scale.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with IT and business resources to define the scope, refine business/technical requirements and translate them into technical specifications/elements/stories.
  • Develop technical designs in Salesforce.com, conduct dev/unit tests, and deploy custom APEX code in coordination and collaboration with project resources including our Salesforce System Administrators, as required
  • Develop and maintain Visualforce, AppExchange, Salesforce1, Force.com pages and integration to other third party and app exchange solutions
  • Participate with cross-functional teams that address issues involving CRM and other related systems
  • Assist Project Managers by identifying and helping solution mitigation strategies for required tasks, timelines, dependencies, capacity requirements etc.
  • Effectively communicate project status and escalate to management as necessary.
  • Proactively manage assigned issues and risks and develop remediation strategies and solutions based plans to senior management
  • Train and mentor other technical resources on the Salesforce platform, particularly our offshore and onshore administrative resource pools
  • Coordinate, coach and guide offshore development resources as needed
  • Provide timely status reports and keep accurate project time data in our source systems
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in IT-related field plus 10 years or Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in IT-Related field plus 8 years of Work Experience as a Salesforce Developer.
  • 8-10 years of experience in IT including 5+ years developing large-scale, Tier-1 Force.com development experience, with a strong focus on Apex and Visualforce development
  • Minimum 3+ years of development experience in Salesforce Lightning platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with Java or C# development experience, and 3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 web application development experience, including solid experience with Java or C#, as well as HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience working with Waterfall, and Agile Development Methodologies
  • Solid knowledge of SOQL
  • Experience with enterprise integration and extract, transformation, and load (ETL) tools
  • A thorough understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle management methodologies and controls is required
Preferences:
  • In-depth experience with jQuery and/or ExtJS a plus
  • Integration experience using web services (SOAP, Restful, etc.) desired
  • Experience and understanding of application performance tuning.
  • Experience of ensuring high quality
  • Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written.
  • Excellent soft skills and experience with customer facing activities.
  • Excellent team player and problem solver with a high level of self-motivation and initiatives
Work Schedule:
  • Mondays thru Fridays, 9:00am to 6:00pm- EST/EDT (approximate)
  • Schedule may change according to business operational needs to include weekend hours
  • 100% Remote. Can be based anywhere in the US but must be able to work EST/EDT hours.
Environmental Factors:
  • Work is performed indoors in a typical office environment.
  • Possibility of travel to locations outside of the office environment
Physical Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to stand, walk, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10 to 50 pounds
  • Ability to bend, squat, and reach above shoulders
  • Hand-eye coordination, arm, hand, and finger dexterity including ability to grasp and operate equipment
  • Visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read technical information
