SHR Talent is partnering with a client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Senior Property Accountant. The Senior Property Accountant will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Accounting and will be responsible for all phases of general ledger portfolio accounting for the company\xe2\x80\x99s two portfolios consisting of approximately 40 properties. As the Senior Property Accountant, you will work closely with the property accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting is completed.

Responsibilities:
Conduct equity and consolidation accounting for portfolios
Review monthly property level distribution files prepared by third party accounting firm
Prepare consolidated journal voucher distribution files
Provide accurate and timely financial information to other internal departments
Record operating budgets for journal voucher entities
Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers and prepare monthly bank reconciliations at journal voucher and holding level
Act as liaison between the accounting and asset management teams, providing financial analysis as part of the monthly financial reporting package
Review property level financial packages
Prepare quarterly consolidated modified accrual financials and annual consolidated Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) financials for applicable portfolios
Fulfill document and reporting requirements for audits and tax
Qualifications:
3+ years of professional accounting experience
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent experience
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, preferred
Familiarity with modified accrual and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) concepts
Experience interacting with senior-level management
Intermediate Microsoft office skills in Excel and Word
Experience in MRI or comparable software, a plus
