Summary Under the general direction of the Senior Director, the Senior Project Manager will support strategic initiatives to build capacity among California school districts to develop education workforce housing. This position will develop tools and resources by defining, analyzing, and documenting requirements, and recommending and communicating system controls and protocols clearly to leadership and staff. This position researches and analyzes issues in education using complex understanding of the education field, data analysis, project management and strategic planning for the organization. This position will organize, guide and direct the activities of the cross-functional project teams and prioritize tasks to meet deliverables and commitments on time. This position requires exceptional project management skills, a strong understanding of affordable housing policies, and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Leads project management for grant-funded projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and project objectives. Oversees the management and reporting requirements of grant-funded projects, ensuring compliance with grant guidelines, tracking expenses, and preparing timely and accurate reports for funders. Defines project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases, and elements; forming project teams; establishing project budget. Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions. Assists with strategic planning for initiatives to address the affordable education workforce housing challenge in school districts. Contributes to the Association\'s organization and strategic development goals and objectives and overall agenda and direction by developing and applying subject matter expertise in assigned areas; participates in the short- and long-term strategy and direction for the department. Collaborates with school districts, housing authorities, community organizations, and other relevant stakeholders to understand their needs, build partnerships, and coordinate efforts to develop affordable education workforce housing solutions. Establishes relationships with external partners and key stakeholders. Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies and works on short- and long-term strategy and direction for the department. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including housing experts, policy analysts, and communication professionals, to ensure seamless integration of initiatives, shares knowledge, and contribute to the overall success of the organization\'s mission. Researches, identifies, and develops tools, resources, and best practices to assist school districts in building capacity to develop affordable housing options for their education workforce. This may include guidelines, case studies, training materials, and policy recommendations. Assists in the development, collection and analysis of surveys, focus groups, and other data collection. Able to make connections between issues, trends, and current events and prepare and present advisory positions. Conducts policy research and synthesize data to support Association initiatives. Determines operational objectives by studying business functions; gather information, evaluating output requirements and formats. Collects and analyzes relevant data on the affordable education workforce housing landscape, evaluates project outcomes, and prepares reports to communicate progress, impact, and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders. Recommends housing strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements. Monitors changes in regulations, legislative issues, education policy trends and innovations. Maintains current understanding of education industry, from state laws to local district politics. Reads and demonstrates an understanding and adherence to CSBA values, policies, and practices. Demonstrates respect, honesty and professionalism at all times. Maintains confidentiality. Performs a variety of other duties as assigned.
