We are seeking an Operational Logistics Planning Analyst with immediate availability that will thrive in a challenging and rewarding process-oriented environment.

\xc2\xb7 This position is located in Camp Smith, Hawaii

Responsibilities:

\xc2\xb7 Serve as an advisor to the MARFORPAC G4 (Logistics Division) by conducting logistical analysis of Campaign Orders, Operational Plans (OPLANS), Contingency Plans (CONPLANS), Execution Orders, MARFORPAC plans and policy, and associated documents for the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM) Area of Responsibility (AOR).

\xc2\xb7 Develop executive-level reports with recommended actions or updates to Campaign Orders, OPLANS/CONPLANS, Execution Orders, MARFORPAC plans and policy, and associated documents for the USINDOPACOM AOR.

\xc2\xb7 Develop logistical supportability analysis of deliberate plans and Operations, Activities, and Investments (OAIs) across the USINDOPACOM AOR.

\xc2\xb7 Coordinate operational logistics for Marine Forces in the USINDOPACOM AOR while utilizing a combination of organic capabilities, the USMC logistics enterprise, the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt), multinational partners, and host nation contracting capabilities.

\xc2\xb7 Communicate and coordinate with higher/adjacent/subordinate command logistics planners across Headquarters Marine Corps (HQMC), I MEF, III MEF, and applicable joint components in the USINDOPACOM AOR (U.S. Army Forces Pacific, Pacific Fleet, Defense Logistics Agency, etc.)

\xc2\xb7 Participate in Marine Corps and Joint Planning Meetings (JPM) on a regular basis to support development of Marine Corps and Joint initiatives aimed at identifying and mitigating gaps in logistics staff estimates and planning.

\xc2\xb7 Assess component level logistics issues and concerns and provide refinements to staff estimates that support executive level decision making.

\xc2\xb7 Analyze, develop reports, and recommend actions or updates to OPLANS/CONPLANS, logistical concepts of support to operational plans and support plans for Marine Forces across the USINDOPACOM AOR.

\xc2\xb7 Provide recommendations to enhance the survivability of Joint/Allied/Partner logistics systems and capabilities against threats from potential adversaries to increase operational effectiveness.

\xc2\xb7 Identify vulnerabilities during deliberate planning and provide recommendations to mitigate risk in the execution of Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) Plans, Exercises, OAIs, OPLANS, CONPLANS, and Non-Combatant Evacuation Operations (NEO).

\xc2\xb7 Provide recommendations for the integration of U.S. Marine sustainment forces with those of allies and partners. Recommendations shall include theater sustainment strategies, intra-theater distribution, infrastructure improvements, and opportunities to rapidly close the force.

\xc2\xb7 Lead cross-functional planning teams to develop and refine staff estimates that incorporate all-domain requirements and considerations in support of Joint or Service initiatives.

\xc2\xb7 Analyze OAIs to validate and rehearse concepts from OPLANs, concept of operations plans, and support plans in order to inform associated annexes and appendices.

\xc2\xb7 Recommend operational logistics support options during the development of joint and combined Command Post Exercises (CPXs), Field Training Exercises (FTXs), Tabletop Exercises (TTXs) to rehearse plans and train operational commanders and staffs.

\xc2\xb7 Assess exercise events and evaluate designated activities during joint and combined training and exercises, interoperability workshops, TTXs, and senior leader seminars.

Required Qualifications:

Security Clearance:

\xc2\xb7 US Citizenship required.

\xc2\xb7 Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security clearance at the minimum level of TS/SCI.

Education and Experience:

\xc2\xb7 Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree required, master\xe2\x80\x99s degree desired.

\xc2\xb7 10+ years of experience in DoD logistics or supply chain planning, joint/combined logistics planning experience desired.

\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of political military situation in the Indo-Pacific AOR.

\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of how to leverage strategic logistics capabilities to support operational and tactical level actions.

\xc2\xb7 Thorough understanding of USINDOPACOM organization, command relationships, assigned commands, and direct reporting units.

\xc2\xb7 Advanced proficiency with groupware applications (e.g. SHAREPOINT, MS Teams) and the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. MSWord, Power Point, Excel, etc.).

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Good organizational skills to balance and prioritize work requirements.
  • Critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and friction points.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
