Job Description


The Senior Product Manager is responsible for partnering with product leaders, business leaders, UX, and engineering to lead and champion the development of new products, and the evolution of existing products that delight clients. They are also responsible for developing a roadmap that executes our business strategy while solving the most important problems for our customers, and to continue to position Central Dispatch as the leading marketplace in the industry. They will be responsible for leading product discovery efforts, involving functional partners, and ensuring development teams have a healthy backlog of work to execute our roadmap.

Who We Are & What We Do

Cox Automotive Logistics is made up of two brands; Ready Logistics and Central Dispatch. Our businesses connect shippers (automotive dealers, auctions and commercial clients) needing to move vehicles with a carrier base to execute that move. Our mission is to simplify the automotive logistics supply chain. This position will be responsible for capabilities within Central Dispatch , the nation\'s largest automotive digital marketplace that connects shippers who need to move vehicles and the carriers that can transport them.

Central Dispatch\'s teams are based primarily out of Atlanta, GA. We have cultivated a group of passionate, naturally curious problem solvers who can adapt to the rapid changes in the automotive and technology industries.

The Job

The Senior Product Manager is responsible for partnering with product leaders, business leaders, UX, and engineering to lead and champion the development of new products, and the evolution of existing products that delight clients. They are also responsible for developing a roadmap that executes our business strategy while solving the most important problems for our customers, and to continue to position Central Dispatch as the leading marketplace in the industry. They will be responsible for leading product discovery efforts, involving functional partners, and ensuring development teams have a healthy backlog of work to execute our roadmap.

The ideal candidate will bring a balanced mix of strategic thinking skills, diverse communication skills, and an innate sense of curiosity. They will have a basic understanding of technology, and be able to facilitate communications and product vision accordingly.

This person will also develop and maintain relationships with some of our clients to better understand their needs and pain points in the logistics industry. That includes existing feedback loops, site visits to wholesale vehicle auctions, and participation in our advisory councils.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Identifies, quantifies, and effectively communicates customer market opportunities
  • Partners with UX research, marketing research, client solutions, and business stakeholders to observe and solicit feedback from consumers and clients.
  • Provides Product Management support for broader and more complex products and features within an assigned product area or customer base.
  • Identifies, quantifies, and effectively communicates customer market opportunities
  • Creates and maintains product vision and roadmap; develops go-to-market strategy and value proposition.
  • Collaborates with other Product Managers to ensure alignment across products; participates in planning and pre/post-planning events
  • Builds an effective relationship between Product & Development teams.
  • Collaborates with Product Owners, UX Designers and others to prototype, test and validate solutions.
  • Works with Product Readiness, Product Management and Marketing teams to communicate new products, and develop go-to-market strategy, plans, and training materials.
  • Assesses product performance against KPIs and makes corrections to improve performance; creates and delivers thoughtful information to influence key market constituents.
Qualifications:

Required Experience:
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of related work experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead product ideation, discovery, and delivery in an Agile environment with a strong focus on collaboration between customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced cross-functional team environment with geographically distributed team members
  • Experience working with offshore development teams
  • Conducting competitive research and analysis
  • Setting and continuously monitoring KPI\'s to measure product value.
  • Strong communication skills across multiple mediums (especially written)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and a record of being team-oriented and developing trust across multiple functions
Preferred:
  • Automotive industry experience
  • Experience with LUMA methodologies and/or Human Centered Design
  • Experience working in a digital marketplace
  • Experience with Rally
