WholesomeCo is leading the movement to normalize cannabis as a natural path to health and wellness. Various medical cannabis services are offered, including statewide delivery to 99% of Utah\'s population, as well as retail, drive-thru, online pick-up services through its pharmacy in West Bountiful, an in-house built app for patients, innovative technology resources, cannabis cultivation, and cannabis processing of our constantly growing line of WholesomeCo branded products. Our company is in search of a Mechanical Engineer to lead our Centerville facility from both a hands-on perspective regarding HVAC, mechanical, electrical as well as all ad-hoc responsibilities pertaining to our facility.
Responsibilities include:

  • Managing the daily operations of the facility, including leading and guiding facilities operations staff. This could include jr maintenance employees, contractors, etc.
  • Managing preventive maintenance programs, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, storm water drainage systems, waste systems.
  • Managing sanitation and safety practices to ensure that work conditions are safe and conducive to efficient operations.
  • Safety, PPE, emergency management systems (emergency contacts with Fire, Police, etc), oversee security systems/team
  • Input on new/existing building design (from a facilities perspective), including landlord relationships, post lease signing management of the landlord.
  • Work with the Director of Supply Chain to develop the desired operational levels for the facility.
  • Work other facility leads (Cultivation, Extraction and Production) to identify priority facility investments for each facility to maintain operations at desired operational levels and support further revenue/profit generation (new machine set up).
  • Develop an annual growth and maintenance plan, and the annual repairs and maintenance plan for the facility. The plan should be based on the facilities Condition assessment (FCA) and facility emergency operations plan.
  • Report all Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to the Director of Supply Chain, including internal and external labor utilization, facility up-time, work ticket response and closeout times, planned to actual budget, etc.
  • Review operating costs and expenses to identify cost savings, efficiencies, and economies of scale to reduce overall spend (utility systems).
  • Provide overall leadership for facilities management in delivering the approved annual growth and maintenance, as well as repairs and maintenance plans.
  • Ensure collaboration with leadership regarding managing SOPs for facility functions.
  • In coordination with senior leaders, design and implement enhanced safety and oversight metrics for the facility.
  • Own/oversee keeping all WholesomeCo facilities running and optimized (troubleshooting and chasing down facility problems - HVAC\xe2\x80\x99s underperforming, Control systems not working, electrical issues, systems not communicating properly, landlord issues, etc)
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor\'s degree in HVAC, Industrial, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering required
  • 5-10 years of demonstrated, progressive work-related experience in facility management as well as administration
  • Strong Knowledge and experience with CAD design, 3D modeling & Control Devices
  • Must pass a pre-employment/post-offer background check
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
