Within AIDA, the Data Science Solutions and Initiatives (DSSI) team designs, deploys and manages state-of-the-art analytic assets and products to amplify business impact across Pfizer through scalable advanced analytics solutions.

The Senior Director, BioPharma Advanced Analytics Products & Solutions shapes and advances an integrated vision and roadmap for Digital AI/ML capabilities to transform Pfizer\xe2\x80\x99s Medical and Commercial go-to-market models. Leading a global team with AI/ML product/solution owners at the Director and Senior Manager levels, the Senior Director engages PBG executive leadership to ensure alignment and acceleration of transformation objectives for Global Presidents, the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) and Chief Medical Affairs Officer (CMAO) through breakthrough AI/ML products and solutions including the current AI Insights, mROI Analytics and Omnichannel Next Best Action (NBA) product lines. The Senior Director defines, activates and oversees the cross-functional agile model led by product owners on their team to drive collaborative development and deployment of AI/ML and advanced analytics solutions engaging functional and technical teams across the Data Science CoE and Industrialization teams. Within the rapidly evolving AI/ML landscape, the Senior Director provides thought leadership to executive Biopharma and Digital leadership on key emerging opportunities and innovation areas for proactive investment and exploration, in close partnership with technical subject matter experts from AIDA\xe2\x80\x99s AI Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate brings outstanding strategic and systems-thinking abilities, depth of Commercial and Medical domain understanding with broad experience in advanced analytics and Data Science, and effective cross-functional experience in managing and driving results on complex organizational initiatives.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Engages as a senior thought leader with BU Global/Regional leaders, CMO and CMAO organizations on strategic opportunities and transformation priorities to be advanced through Data Science capabilities, products and solutions
• Develops, evolves and retains a world-class global organization of Commercial and Medical product owners for AI/ML and data science products and solutions at the Director and Senior Manager levels
• Defines and owns the integrated vision and roadmap for Commercial and Medical AI / ML and advanced analytics capabilities (such as AI Insights, mROI Analytics and Omnichannel Next Best Action) to accelerate transformation goals and business processes
• Oversees large-scale cross-functional development, delivery and lifecycle management of a portfolio of high-impact, fit-for-purpose advanced analytics products and solutions for Commercial and Medical applications. Establishes high-performing team culture and engagement model across functional and technical groups to maximize organizational impact.
• Leads the identification and joint prioritization of opportunities to innovate and curate net-new AI/ML models in partnership with the Data Science COE & BAI DS Teams
• Advances AIDA\xe2\x80\x99s engagements globally with newly forming CMO Innovation Development Centers in the US, Germany and China to transform Commercial Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy
• Drives adoption of Digital\xe2\x80\x99s Enterprise Product Management (EPM) model and product mindset across Data Science organization
• Acts as the face of AIDA\xe2\x80\x99s collective Data Science expertise across functional, analytical and engineering competency areas in engagements with executive BioPharma leadership. Collaborates internally with AIDA BioPharma Domain Lead and counterparts across Data Solutions and Platforms teams to drive high-performing team accomplishments.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• 13+ years of experience working in the Commercial or Medical Affairs function including sales, marketing, HEOR, etc. within a biopharmaceutical company or serving those functions as a management consultant or service provider
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline.
• Direct experience and proven track record in successful advanced analytic product management
• Direct experience as an advanced analytics practitioner in Commercial and/or Medical domains. Working knowledge and experience of AI/ML and Data Science methodologies. Hands-on experience in generating and applying analytical insights to inform portfolio, disease, brand strategies
• Deep understanding of biopharmaceutical Commercial data, including sales and forecasting, health economics and outcomes data, marketing and spend data, patient and physician data, and ability to formulate data strategy
• Nuanced insight into the opportunities and challenges presented with applying AI/ML to business problems within the life sciences industry
• Ability to translate ambiguous customer needs into tangible and achievable strategy and plans
• Proactive, agile, and innovative leader, who can creatively solve problems and operate effectively in a rapidly evolving, varied environment (e.g., technical and business, executive and non-executive audiences)
• Track record of successful internal and/or external program management and strategic planning, working with highly matrixed teams within health, medical, life science or related organizations
• Strategic mindset, including the ability to prioritize tasks and projects, identify the most relevant parameters driving a business decision, and to focus the work accordingly
• Very strong organizational skills, ability to successfully deliver with cross-functional, matrixed teams on multiple projects at the same time, and ability to influence without direct authority
• Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and teaming ability

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD in a scientific, biomedical, or engineering discipline or an MBA
• Hands-on experience managing the commercial launch of a biopharmaceutical product in the market and overseeing other post-approval activities
• Demonstrated successful execution and management of multiple, simultaneous projects
• Experience applying advanced analytics and AI/ML to biopharmaceutical Commercial and/or Medical Affairs needs
• Experience in a high-growth environment, standing up new teams and technologies

Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

Extensive computer use, ability to work at a rapid pace, in a virtual environment.

Some travel will be required as part of this role. Expectations around travel will vary but you will need to be capable of travel within the region and to other regions. This role may on occasion require physical or virtual participation on a weekend, holiday, or after normal business hours.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $185,800.00 to $309,600.00. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 22.5% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Salary range does not apply to the Tampa, FL location.
