The Sr. Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist assists with implementing, managing and monitoring Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s compliance initiatives, technical controls, procedures and processes in a quality regulated environment. Provides guidance on security, data protection and support in identifying, managing and mitigating risks. Specific duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Evaluates, manages and provides technical expertise and guidance on cybersecurity standards, data protection and technical controls to meet compliance with laws and regulations for new and existing systems and applications.

Ensures adherence to cybersecurity standards, controls thru the ongoing review and approval of SLC process documentation.

Understands and has experience working in a quality regulated environment with ability to guide and recommend secure technical practices and alternatives.

Assesses and routinely refines processes and monitoring priorities to maintain compliance, address and mitigate significant risks.

Develops, tests, documents, monitors and tracks cybersecurity controls, issues, audit findings, risks and exceptions to remediation and closure in alignment with Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s policies, processes and procedures.

Monitors, tracks and reports security metrics (risks, exceptions, issues, etc.) to adhere to Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s performance and risk profile.

Assists with periodic risk assessments, risk treatment plans, and completion of risk treatment activities.

Follows audit guidelines and workflow process, testing the capability, reliability and effectiveness of Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s security systems, applications, protocols and procedures.

Partners and collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to document and implement necessary policies and practices to comply with industry best standards and compliance frameworks as required.

Works with process and control owners to communicate audit results, risks, issues, gaps and identify remediation options, and prioritize action plans.

Supports and assists with exceptions, risks, issues and incident response processes as needed

Clearly communicates deliverables, and project status to management and key technical and business stakeholders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

An experienced information security professional with demonstrated skills implementing, managing and monitoring technical controls, risks, exceptions, and audit gaps.

Possesses a strong understanding of industry security technology, audit, risk and compliance controls with the ability to develop policies and procedures supportive of established compliance requirements.

Should demonstrate an ability to quickly assess security risks, identify controls/policies to mitigate security risks and establish documented procedures and protocols designed to ensure Abbott\xe2\x80\x99s information is protected and secure.

Has experience supporting cybersecurity and compliance programs and managing technical control requirements and familiarity with security frameworks and industry best standards NIST, ISO 27001, PCI DSS, etc.), and other cybersecurity and privacy rules and regulations. Specific qualifications include the following:

Undergraduate degree in computer science, information technology, related subject matters or equivalent work experience.

2+ years in an information security and / or privacy role, preferably in an environment involving critical data and managing compliance and security requirements.

General knowledge of enterprise security technologies, including SIEM, IDS/IPS systems and firewalls, antivirus, enterprise vulnerability scanning and testing, data at rest encryption technologies, access controls, etc.

Analytical aptitude in risk management, business risk analysis, audit and compliance

Experience writing/developing security / privacy policies and procedures.

CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CISA, GIAC, or other security certifications desired.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation), interpersonal and consultative skills.

Able to work independently, self-directed.
