DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Senior Content Acquisition Manager to join the Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading team to manage content acquisition and growth programs. In this role, you will work with books industry partners, including major publishing houses, to help them grow their businesses across Amazon\'s subscription programs Kindle Unlimited and Prime Reading. This role requires close partnership across external partners, Amazon\'s content and product teams, and international stakeholders to deliver the best digital content experience to customers.

You will manage publisher relationships, develop global process, and work with diverse internal and external partners to bring content to our programs that customers will love. The ideal candidate has proven business judgment, strong relationship management, and is highly analytical. Finally, a love of reading goes a long way!

Key job responsibilities
Some key job functions of this position are:
- Partner with key publishers to grow their participation within our reading programs
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure progress
- Develop product requirements, prioritize key initiatives and manage milestones with inputs from cross-business stakeholders
- Identify opportunities for innovation and automation within the content acquisition space
- Develop, articulate, and promote data-driven decisions to solve complex business problems

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 5+ years of experience in program management, or equivalent
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Business or related field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with executing deals and partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence senior level executives
- Experience working in digital content acquisition roles or product management roles
- Experience implementing quality programs with spirit of continuous improvement
- Process-oriented and strong problem solving skills.
- Ability to deliver effective customer communications and manage multiple priorities simultaneously

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $216,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
