Senior Accountant

PacketFabric, a growing leading Enterprise Network Provider, is seeking a Senior Accountant to assist with the critical accounting and financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in financial closing procedures, technical accounting, internal controls, and fluctuation analysis. This position will interact with other groups within the company as well as external auditors. This role will encourage you to develop excellent leadership and communication skills, including the tools necessary to meet financial reporting and compliance requirements. This candidate will report to the Assistant Controller.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Be Doing:

• Review, maintain, and analyze the general ledger for capital expenditures
• Review invoices to ensure compliance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s capitalization policy
• Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system
• Perform monthly/quarterly variance analyses for BS, P&L and Cash Flow statements
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded in accordance with GAAP; preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist Controller with all aspects of month end close and preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements
• Technical accounting review of all significant transactions; identify, analyze, and apply technical guidance and draft policies/correspondence
• Monitor, adopt, and implement new accounting standards applicable to the company
• Assist the Controller with preparation for the annual audit and reporting requirements of taxing authorities and other regulatory agencies
• Implement robust improvements to the company\xe2\x80\x99s internal control policies; continuously evaluate and develop systems and procedures (Including documentation of accounting procedures and policies)
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor\'s Degree or higher in Accounting or related field
• 1+ years of experience in related role; public accounting experience a plus
• Experience within the tech and/or telecommunications industry a plus

What You Bring:

• Proficient in Microsoft Office including advanced skills in Excel
• Familiarity with large ERP system, Netsuite is a plus
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Self-motivated with great initiative and ability to work independently or as part of a team
