Job Description

A manufacture in Ontario, CA is looking for a senior accountant to oversee local accounting functions. This is a hands-on role where you will really get to understand the business. You will analyze account balances and maintain the ledgers through reconciliations and preparing appropriate journal entries. To succeed you will need the ability to navigate and master our QAD ERP system and to create and update complex spreadsheets. As the senior accountant, you will be a part of the local management team and will have input and influence on business decisions. This role may possible toward to hybrid work models. Initial duties include:

• Preparing and presenting the monthly performance metrics to the local senior management team and to the group management team overseas.
• Preparing and filing annual financial statements and various monthly tax and other statutory returns
• Oversight of company assets including collection of Accounts Receivable, accounting for inventory and maintaining fixed assets ledgers
• Maintaining appropriate internal controls and accounting procedures
• Preparing regular forecasts in collaboration with local management and head office overseas.
• Preparing ad hoc reports and analysis to management as required
• Supervising a clerical staff of 3

The ideal candidate will possess:

• strong communication, technology, organizational and analytical skills;
• at least 5 years of general accounting experience.
• A bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in accounting or finance; and hold a CPA license is big plus
• Some cost accounting experience (using an integrated ERP system) in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
